I already have an A64 3200+
I have purchased an eVGA 7900 GT
Now I need to get some new RAM to replace the old 512 I have. Is it worth getting a full 2GB when all I am doing is gaming. Is it worth saving some money and getting 1GB and upgrading the CPU as well?
Where will the bottleneck be on...
Well, those of you who know me are going to find a few things odd about this post.
Firstly, I have not posted in quite a while, something that I hope to rectify now that my life is starting to calm down once again, and I should be a regular again soon here.
Secondly, those of you that know me...
I have built a rig for a friend, he didn't have a huge budget and really wanted a Gigabyte mobo. I put the rig together (specs shown below) and I am having what I suspect is a CPU heating issue. The system appears to be booting fine, I am trying to install windows, and I had a system crash as...
Thanks everyone for the help... guess this is what you get for going cheap on the case. Must have bad air flow... time for a new case... or maybe I should take this opportunity to convince my wife that liq cool is the way to go :P.
We will see I guess. I have tried the removal of side panel and...
What is a good program to use for monitoring my temps. I suspect my 6800GT of getting too hot under high load and freezing. I get some odd squiqly lines some times when it freezes. Other times it just freezes. I am getting error messages on reboot telling me to upgrade my drivers, but I already...
I built my friends a computer about a month ago. It is a pretty nice rig, its got the DFI LP NF4, 3200 venice, 6600GT. I cheaped out on the PSU as I always do, and got them a generic 350W that came with the case. When they phoned me wondering what had gone so terribly wrong with it, I...
Wusy you are like a door-to-door salesman with that PSU, and you have never even tried it out. I hope it turns out to be a great PSU. All this promotion for it, I'm thinking about getting it for my next build just to see if it meets all the hype.

6 inches of air and wood is a long way for heat to travel if that is what you are worried about. Otherwise it sounds like a pretty neat idea. Post some pics when its done.
I don't understand why you can't liberate one of the switches from your old cases? Go to the local dump and pull a switch...
Yep... should be plenty. I have seen similar systems on a 350W generic (although this is pushing the limit). But you should be good even for a slight OC (as said previously).

I still haven't seen a review of this one Wusy. I would really like to see one before we start recomending it to everyone as a cheap alternative.
