Can I use this for cleaning thermal paste?

you can actually use a dish-washing soap + distilled water or alcohol for rinsing (do not use tap water). I did this to my Samsung 960 Evo NVME SSD when I made a mistake in using an arctic silver and it got in contact with the chip terminals. I've decided to use it as Alcohol alone does not...

Does Cryorig R1 Universal fit ASUS TUF z270 mk1.

Ive had this Cryorig R1 universal for sometime now. It's BULKY but I really like it as it is. Now I wanted to change motherboards and CPU and I'm really obsessed with the aesthetics of the ASUS TUF z270 mk1. but im worried the plastic shrouds will interfere with the bulky tower cooler. From...

Screen flashing, flickering & artifacts on GTX 1070, Win 10

Hi all, first of all, I have spend the whole 6 hours scouring the internet for answers last night, even enlisted the help of some friends who cant seem to find a solution to this issue. My apologies if this have been posted many times in other forums (which I have checked as well) but I would...

diskpart.exe takes a while to allow typing in commands.

It appeared to be an extreme latency in the system. it would appear to be more of another question than an answer. For now I have to find out what is causing the latency.

Soldering the protruding copper strip on PCB of a motherboard

I think another thing that worries me is that i could risk damaging other components that maybe properly working on which would end me up spending more. But I do get your point what have I got to lose if the mobo's still not working. I'll try posting a picture of the mobo and I'll try soldering...

Can I use this for cleaning thermal paste?

Its fine. As long as it removes all the thermal compound. If there are minute traces of other substance on the surface of the CPU, there should be no observable difference in the cooling performance

Soldering the protruding copper strip on PCB of a motherboard

I have a low-end asrock motherboard (for htpc) which ive stopped using due to chronic issues. One of them is that the HDDs keep having errors.. (The issue could have been the HDDs and not the motherboard) . now I've decided to scrap the mobo and buy a more recent one since it has stopped...

    Phanteks Eclipse P400

there is no need to buy extra LED strips... I got my P400 case a week ago and I was able to light up the front LED and power button LED by directly connecting them to the 12v molex (using a re-purposed case fan connector - molex). The case has its built in controller so you should be able to...
