    Moving a modem. So many splitters and coaxial cables.

    I am just going to unplug the coaxial cable from the splitter then move it to another coaxial outlet. Plug it in (using a 2 splitter as it will share the outlet with a TV) and thats that. Not going to add any splitters to that pile.

    If the wiring is bad in your house, you are out of luck. You need to either get a Ethernet cable and run it from your router or get a internal/external wifi stick.

    Would this cable work for a modem?

    So I could use a different coax plug put it in the wall, then connect it to the "in" side of the splitter. then send one of the "out" sides to the TV and one to the modem? Or does the splitter go into the wall via the coax plug?
