I too didn't find any loss in quality.But somewhere i read that overscan is done by cropping the edges of the actual screen and make it zoom so that the pictures gets bigger.Here CCC is actually not cropping,but just zooming in to fit the monitor screen.Resolution is same before and after overscan.

I too have this monitor..It is a very good monitor with eye popping visuals..It will be more amazed with a better GPU..Regarding the flickering,changing the cables wont work..updating the GPU driver and monitor drive may fix the issue..update the GPU driver via Device manager..

go for R7 250 GDDR5 version..It will be worth the money u spend..
