I recently replaced my H80i GT with a H115i. The noise is really more about the fans regardless of which manufacturer you choose. Corsair rate their SP140L fans at 40dB, which I didn't even test but any fan running at 2000rpm will make a racket. I used Noctua iPPC 2000rpm fans on mine (31.5dB)...

Hi, I have the GTX 1080 Xtreme and I only use the Gigabyte application to change settings. This is a pure guess, but it's possible there's a conflict between the Nvidia software and the Gigabyte software. If it was me, I'd probably RMA it just to be on the safe side. Hope that helps! SullenGuide

Unless you're running in 4K, go for a 980ti. They're pretty cheap now compared to the 1080, but in many benchmarks out perform the 1070. I ran BF1 in Ultra at around 85-90fps on my 980ti @ 1440p 165hz. Cheerio.
