Download the GeForce experience app from nvidia and this will allow you to manage your graphics and battery usage for example you can set an fps limit in certain games so they use less battery

Your best hope really is to wait for the adapter otherwise there isn't really much you could do at the moment

You can use a separate GPU even if your CPU has integrated graphics you just have to make sure your computer is choosing them over the integrated ones but I don't understand why you are building a system with such old parts now?

It will be compatible as it is a normal ATX size PSU and so it has the standard 24 pin connector which powers motherboards and if you have a Kaby Lake CPU I doubt you have an ancient motherboard so don't worry your PSU and motherboard should be compatible

LGA 1151 CPUs will not fit into a different socket and this applies to any socket because the pins and their layouts are physicaly different so you will need a motherboard which supports LGA 1151 sockets with a 7th gen Intel CPU.

I don't plan on using the laptop screen it will be hooked up to a monitor, keyboard and mouse.is there any way with which I could secure the laptop in place yet still take it out when I need to?

I would highly recommend the NZXT S340 or Elite version depending on your version they have excellent features such as a side window, USB 3, a really handy cable management strip as well as support for a variety of motherboard sizes and water cooling too. They both come in a Black/Red color too

I had a cool idea of making a setup powered by my gaming laptop and to add something unique I thought of buying a pc case with a side window and fixing my laptop inside of it somehow. any ideas as to how I could do this or what cases would work? black and red is the color scheme

I have looked at all the links but I don't play games as demanding as those even though some of them are light. Could Minecraft compare to any of them in terms of how demanding it is? That would help

It might be able to do very light tasks like you are saying at 1440p but anything which demands more than a little graphical performance would suffer

Which GPU should I buy please be specific. It should be: -ideally white - gtx 1060 6gb or rx 580 8gb/4gb (I game @1080p) -have a good clock speed pls state which model and a link would be helpful
