Question Windows 10 upgrade on current hardware

System will run fine with Win 10. The processor is very dated though, but it should not really be a problem. It will still function with future updates. As for performance, maybe invest in a decent SSD and it will give your system longer life. I don't think a newer graphics card will push...

Question Need a new graphic card?

The RX 590 maybe a good choice. Or even something from Vega series. Will still be within budget.

Question Ryzen 5 2600 overheating help!

You could also check whether it is clocking down when idle. It might be set to max frequency always which could be keeping your temps up. Set it to clock down to maybe 1200-1500 idle - might lower temps

    Question Ryzen 5 2600

You should see improved performance with the Ryzen. I hav seen guys running the same processor paired with a dated HD5770 (1GB) able to play Far Cry 5 with decent quality. The GTX 1050 will definitely see improvement.

    Question Ryzen 5 2600 or Ryzen 7 1700 for 2666 MHz RAM

I would go with the Ryzen 5 2600. You get a newer generation processor which is bound to get better with updates, and it performs fantastic in Gaming. Atleast for me.

BSOD after Windows 7 clean install

Thank youyou rdc85 for your reply. The HDD is ok as I was able to load Ubuntu live CD and copy all my files over. So I don't think its a HDD issue. Also I'm unable to do a reinstall as now the Windows setup doesn't detect the HDD and also recovery tools do not detect any OS to repair. Mem86+...
