You're not making much sense ;P. If you're paying in currency that's worth less (in case 1000 TT is much less than 1000 USD), it doesn't mean you actually pay more - it's worth the same (500 USD = 3200 TT). Anyway, can you order from amazon?

But I suppose those $1000 are not US dollars? What currency is used at your country? Also, can't you order from somewhere like amazon? Those shops you linked aren't computer part stores, they are generic "computer" shops which have very little computer components in stock.

If it was while playing, doesn't seem like a temperature issue. Are you playing with the laptop plugged in to the wall? Also, let's try one more test. Could you download Prime95 and Furmark, and run their blend test (prime95) and burn-in test (furmark) at the same time? Watch the temperatures...

If it shuts down, it's most probably a hardware problem, not lack of it. You should be looking at Core temperature. The third graph to be precise - the one that says 71°C. I suppose that is while on desktop, or while playing?

I've noticed that I get strange frame drops to 20s for a few seconds as well in some areas. I have i5-2500k, so I don't think it's a CPU bottleneck - let's hope a patch will fix it.

Don't buy that. For $500 you can get something MUCH better for gaming. It's waste of money. Where are you from?

Did you try checking temperatures? You can download HWMonitor from here: ftp://ftp.cpuid.com/hwmonitor/hwmonitor_1.21-32bit.zip Run it, then run the sims for around 5 minutes and then minimize the sims to check the temperatures. Report them back.

There will always be people who claim that they get better performance than they really do. I'd say it's impossible to get 60 fps on high settings with hd 7770, unless playing on low resolution. Personally on my GTX 560 Ti I get around 40 fps on high settings - and my CPU isn't bottlenecking for...

Did you try checking GPU usage and temperatures during gameplay?

What about the other card? If there aren't any power cables connected to it (you must connect 2), you should take it out of your PC or you risk damaging it...
