    Question How reliable is OCCT?

WinToys is great, so thanks for rec, but it doesn't do anything when it comes to checking the VRAM for errors. It has a way to access the Windows's RAM checking tool, that's about it.

    Question How reliable is OCCT?

What's an "OCB gamer"? Sure, but only because you ask in such an eloquent way. But I was wondering if there's any small app that will just detect the hardware components and export the basic items? I believe there is more than one, but I forgot their names. Regardless, I'm just asking if OCCT...

    Question How reliable is OCCT?

Yesterday I got an Asus RTX 5080 card. I played games for hours, the only one that crashed was Forza Horizon 5, but I know that game has a bug and crashes with any card. It crashed when I had a 4060 Ti 16 GB, then it crashed with a 5070 Ti, and it crashes at random with the 5080 just the same...

Question Is there a way to turn off the annoying animation Windows 11 does when turning monitors on and off?

What's really impossible to understand is why Microsoft would take something that it is already super aggravating in itself, which is the HDMI/DisplayPort/Thunderbolt handshake, and make it far worse. As it is, even after disabling this idiotic gimmick, I still have to put up with my monitors...

Question Is there a way to turn off the annoying animation Windows 11 does when turning monitors on and off?

Well, but regardless of what you and other moderators have seen, this is a real problem, and to Microsoft this is a "feature", as shown by the ridiculous effort put into it. I'm a videographer and 3D artist, so I know that this stupid animation was done with keyframes set to ease in and out, or...

Question Is there a way to turn off the annoying animation Windows 11 does when turning monitors on and off?

Interesting. I wonder what's your setup to avoid triggering that. I mean, I'm not the only one suffering from this, I read countless posts of people complaining about the same thing. But funny enough, every once in a while, Copilot is useful for a change, and gave me the perfect answer for...

Question Is there a way to turn off the annoying animation Windows 11 does when turning monitors on and off?

You mean that you have two or more monitors connected to your graphics card and whenever you turn them on or off, you don't see the zoom effect? That would be really weird, because I have two computers with Windows 11, and I had a friend's computer here for a while a year ago, and this happens...

Question Is there a way to turn off the annoying animation Windows 11 does when turning monitors on and off?

Again, if you disable animations system wide, you also disable smooth scrolling in browsers. My Windows 11 is the pro version, but I assume this is the same in the Home version.

Question Is there a way to turn off the annoying animation Windows 11 does when turning monitors on and off?

That's what I put in my post, if you turn that off, you also turn off smooth scrolling in browsers and other animations that I'm fine with. This is typical Microsoft crap, they take control away from the user and dictate how the GUI has to be without any regards for efficiency.

Question Is there a way to turn off the annoying animation Windows 11 does when turning monitors on and off?

If you have more than one monitor, you know what I'm talking about: the excessively obnoxious, pointless, stupid animation that happens every time you turn on your second monitor, or the TV set if you have it connected to the HDMI port in your card. That zoom out then zoom back in animation with...

    Question ASUS PRIME GeForce RTX™ 5080 16GB GDDR7 vs ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX™ 5080 16GB GDDR7 OC Edition?

That will probably cost way more than the 5080 TUF Gaming OC. I'm not happy about spending over $1000 on a graphics card, but it's the era of fat orange tyrants with tariffs, so not much I can do.

    Question ASUS PRIME GeForce RTX™ 5080 16GB GDDR7 vs ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX™ 5080 16GB GDDR7 OC Edition?

Is there really a difference between the Asus Prime and TUF gaming cards when it comes to quality and durability? There is a $335 difference between these two, and it may not be a fortune, but it's still a decent amount of money, and these cards are way overpriced as they are. I know the TUF...

Question Trying to determine if new Asus TUF 5070 Ti is defective

The specs that are important are in my post. Added to that, there are four 4 TB Samsung NVMe SSDs and an LG burner. i9 14900 KF. BIOS is version 2001, the latest so far. As for messing with RAM sticks, definitely no. I'm not going to put pressure on the motherboard when there's no reason for...

Question Trying to determine if new Asus TUF 5070 Ti is defective

Two days I received this card: https://a.co/d/fpOY56u It seems to work just fine for the most part. I already rendered almost a thousand frames in Blender at 6000 samples each, and I spent about two hours playing different games that are very demanding, like F1 25 with path tracing enabled, and...

Question ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX™ 5080 height, does it allow a card in the last slot ?

Probably, but for 20 bucks, I'd rather not spend time searching for a home made solution when I can have something made specifically for this purpose: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08C2CTPV6?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 I got two of those that I'm getting tomorrow. Should work just fine.
