I get a CPU mark score of 12666 and all temps check out under load.

Pretty much the title. It seems like I'm getting way lower fps in most games than I should be getting. For example, the Doom multiplayer seems to hover around 70 fps but on some maps it dips into the thirty range while my buddy with far worse components never falls below 60 on the same graphics...

I'm about to install a fan on my motherboard to hopefully try and stop the VRMs from overheating. Should the fan be blowing directly on the heatsink, or in the opposite direction, as in drawing the hot air out?
