PC won't boot unless I change the ram configuration

First of all, are all of the RAM sticks the EXACT same model? If they're not are they in different coloured DIMM slots? if they're not this could cause issues. Alternatively if your RAM modules are the exact same they should be in the same colour DIMM slots.

    PSU Upgrade Desktop

Could you please provide a link to your case, as I can't seem to find it. However, I would recommend that you upgrade to a more reputable manufacturer for £5-£10 more as a power supply is a crucial component which has the potential to cause damage to your components and the last thing you want...

    Gaming moniter, Can't decide

The first question you need to answer before you ask "what should I buy?" is what is your budget? If it's around £200 then this Acer 24" is perfect: https://goo.gl/TYgZDu Whereas if you have a larger budget and prefer a few more features like Gsync and an IPS panel I would recommend...

Questions about new monitor / gaming on GTA 5

Hi Swirlz, Gaming Mode is a function found on monitors and TVs to give the monitor a faster response time. Looking for a claw grip gaming mouse

For years I have used the Mad Catz Rat 3... It's not a very commonly used mouse but I find it great for claw grip users. I have recently upgraded to a g900 chaos spectrum but the RAT 3 is still a great mouse.

Split second freezes / lag spikes when gaming

To monitor what could be causing the issue I would recommend that you have task manager running in the background (if you have a second monitor then display it on that monitor) and whenever you experience this micro-stutter, check task manager for any random spikes of % used or drops in...

Is it higher frame rates in gaming that benefit most from Hyper Threading?

I would recommend that you disable V-sync if you're going to cap your framerate to something higher (or lower) than that of your monitor's refresh rate as V-Sync can cause many issues both with the hardware and performance in games. With regards to your question about hyperthreading, simply...

    I7 7700K or Ryzen 1700 for Gaming

Personally I would go for the 7700k for now, or at least until we know more about the overall performance of the Ryzen CPUs. Ryzen in its current state hasn't been tested as thoroughly as the skylake CPUs and therefore we have a lot less information about their performance in games and other...

FPS drop while gaming on laptop

What's happening is called thermal throttling. This protects your CPU from reaching temperatures which are too high for it to manage. In short, what this does is it lowers the clock speed of your CPU to prevent it from reaching temperatures which could cause permanent damage to it physically...
