[SOLVED] Should I sell my old build? If so, what should I ask for it?

Thanks. Definitely going for a local buyer and all in one piece if I can. In a few years this thing will be 10 years old and I think I'll want to start from scratch. Seems reasonable to think the market will have stabilized a bit by then...

[SOLVED] Should I sell my old build? If so, what should I ask for it?

I built a mid-range gaming PC back in 2014. I was planning to build a new one, but not for a couple years yet and I'm moving before then. That said, I keep hearing about a chip shortage and GPU prices being insane plus it seems like the prices for the components hasn't dropped much in 7 years...

Pushing beyond 60Hz for 2D viewing

I'm told AMD (Radeon) doesn't support >60Hz, though...

What is the meaning of LCD "Refresh Rate" and supported timings?

That seems pretty ridiculous, considering that the 7950 can do 3D 1080p @ 60Hz per eye (120Hz)... or am I missing something?

Pushing beyond 60Hz for 2D viewing

I want to buy a monitor for gaming that will sync up with a frame rate higher than 60Hz. It seems 120Hz+ is my only option, but I'm not about to shell out for one and then have it be completely useless. But I've come across such a ridiculous lack of information about whether these monitors...

    Radeon 7950 supported resolutions: 1080p @ >60Hz?

Someone told me the other day that AMD graphics cards don't push beyond 60Hz... I want to get a sense of whether there's any merit to this claim. It seems pretty misinformed, as the 7950 (my card) can push 1080p 3D @ 60Hz per eye (120Hz total). Can someone settle this for me? I want to buy a...

What is the meaning of LCD "Refresh Rate" and supported timings?

Now we're cooking! So I've got a Radeon 7950. What you're telling me is that I can't run a monitor above 60hz? So even if I buy a 120hz monitor, it'll only run at 60?

What is the meaning of LCD "Refresh Rate" and supported timings?

Any insight into why the 1920x1080 resolution is always paired with 60hz? Is there a formula I can employ to determine what other frequencies might work with that resolution (say, 120hz, for example)?

What is the meaning of LCD "Refresh Rate" and supported timings?

Right, I thought so. So then what about questions 2 and 3?

What is the meaning of LCD "Refresh Rate" and supported timings?

I'm looking to buy a gaming monitor. I'm looking through a lot of specs and am thoroughly confused. I've read in a variety of places that LCDs don't have any such think as a "refresh rate." Please help me understand, then: Why am I seeing LCD monitors with refresh rates (or "vertical frequency"...
