    Yes, clean install, new Samsung 990 pro SSD. Should mention though that the copy of windows was several years out of date and needed a plethora of updates. Did not realize until afterwards that I should have grabbed a current build from ms.com

    Yeah looks to me like the m.2 connector on this msi board stands a bit higher than the one shown in your pic, hence the taller standoff screw than the one in your pic.
