Question Help with new system. Restarts when booting to USB

Perhaps the Media Creation Tool image is bad? Have you already tried creating a new USB image; and perhaps on a new/previously not-used-for-image flash drive?

Question Powershell window popping up everytime, one hour or so after a startup.

I didn't see any script running in the Shell, so your PC is presumably safe. Still, see if disabling PowerShell can present you with an error to point you in the right direction: (I plagiarized the info below from https://www.makeuseof.com/windows-disable-command-prompt-powershell/ so I wouldn't...

Question PS4 Controllers Not Charging or Turning On: Need Help Troubleshooting

Very odd indeed that they both go bad at the same time, but not impossible. It is likely that both went bad. Just out of curiosity, have you tried connecting them to your PC to see if your PC recognizes them? How about charging the controllers somewhere other than your PS4?

Discussion Overclocked memory and now i cant get my pc to post ?

Based on the info provided, you likely have bad DIMMs; however, it's worth mentioning that improper CMOS clearing can cause POST failure. Did you unplug the PSU from the wall before clearing CMOS? If you didn't, this could be the reason your motherboards don't POST.

    Question Very high pc temps

98°C is high even for air-cooled PCs. Thermal shutdown happens around 125°C or so, so you're not killing the CPU (yet). To find out the cause of the high temps, you'll want to ensure you have proper contact with the cooler/water block. In my experience (over this forum and my own builds), the...

Question Issues with fairly new PC build. Need help please.

After rereading your OP, I don't see that you've checked for/installed new drivers. Go to the headset manufacturer's website for the latest and maybe even the two previous, if available. Next, open Device Manager (or, if you're feeling adventurous, use PowerShell) to uninstall the headset...

Question Can't access BIOS with drives connected

Why not leave the drives disconnected, then get into the BIOS to change your boot priority to USB first/top? Then you can reinstall your drives; insert the flash drive with your Windows installer; turn on PC. USB should now be the first boot device and you can then install Windows.

    Question Grounding

Grounding is the process of discharging static electricity, which would affect more than just the CMOS battery. The best option would be to get yourself some anti-ESD wrist straps, then do the upgrade. The next best option is to touch a nearby metal object (not the metal on the laptop). If you...

Question Issues with fairly new PC build. Need help please.

This may take a bit to find the problem, so take it slow. Since the audio problem affects two different headsets, it seems likely that the problem is at the USB connection. I'm assuming you're not having any problems with the keyboard or mouse, as you've not indicated so. If the headset is...

Question Ethernet and some USB ports not working after CPU upgrade.

You may have a defective CPU. Though properly installed, the CPU may not actually be processing the commands/instructions of your hardware. Still, there are a few steps you can try... Right click Windows then run PowerShell (Admin). In the Shell, type or paste: get-netadapter | fl, then press...

    Question Weird ticking?

First thing to do is verify the noise is being made by the GPU. Does your PC have an integrated GPU? If so, restart your PC and then enter the BIOS/UEFI. Find the setting to enable your integrated GPU (if necessary). Turn off the PC. Unplug the power connector to the GPU card. Now turn on your...

Question A question about QVL RAM lists (Gigabyte 670 Elite AX)

The QVL is not and should never be considered exhaustive. Rather, the QVL should be used as a guide, such as what you are doing. Generally, the hardware on the QVL has been thoroughly tested for benchmark results. While your specific set/kit is not listed, that is not indicative of...
