    Just a note, I recommend getting a 120gb ssd for os and programs as a ssd alone has better performance than caching, but if you want to keep it cheap then go with caching.

    I guess you are right about the power supply, however its really not that much less to go with a smaller one and i chose it in case a few years down the road i decide to swap out my gpu's for some newer even more power hungry monsters, and as far as ram I will be using 16gb of it as a ram drive...

    see if one of the pins is broken or bent on the connectors or even connectors on the monitor and pc, it may be that there is no sync connection and the laptop wont display without proper sync information.... what is the make/model of your monitor ?

    Looks like a great deal and is beyond what you will be using it for, it should be ample computing power for years to come, and yea all you need is an os and wifi card and you will be all set

    oh i forgot one thing, the video card is integrated into the motherboard which is great on the budget but the negative side is it will use system resources such as Ram and possible cpu cycles and it shouldnt but may lag on full 1080p video
