    I forgot to plug in the second connector for the 24-pin ATX cable to the power supply. Never used modular before.

    Solved. It was user error. Not sure how to mark this as solved.

    The old power supply was pulled from an old office PC, the new one is a thermaltake toughpower gf1 650w. Whenever I power on the PC with the new PSU (8-pin ATX CPU connector) it won't POST and gives me a red light on the motherboard indicating a problem with the CPU. The old PSU (4-pin ATX CPU...
