My Brother bought parts for a custom PC to replace his old crappy one. I told him to hold off on buying an OS until I could get an answer to this Question: If he buys a copy of Windows 7 now that Win 10 is already out, can he still upgrade to Windows 10 for free or is it too late now?

I think the big question is how will the bios handle it? Mine is the Insyde F.26 for the Pavilon g7 2xxx series, which is the most recent.

Ok than, how do I know if I have the right gpu lane? I wast able to find anything on the Internet. Could I find it in Device Manager? Or should I pop open my hard drive, take out the existing card and count the little copper thingies at the bottom? I must sound like a noob right now:) Also...
