I've just had better experiences with Asus. But, as I said, I would likely pick the white one, without any real qualms, for a white build.

Either one will be fine. The white one would look better with your build, so that would likely be my choice. But, I do prefer Asus over Gigabyte.

Samsung's site does say 1.4, but doesn't specify whether it's 1.4a or not.

It's not g-sync certified and, at least in the US, only has a one year warranty.
