    Tips for graphics build.

I have no idea where to start, my boss asked me to build 2 computers for modeling, 3d stuff, etc. I usually go amd, for gaming, and I m confused by intels lineup. I also need a graphics card, I'm thinking quadro, but confused by their lineup. Any tip?

Not monitor, Not HDD, not monitor. I'm now certain it's your ram, the fans would not spin w/o a PSU. Your just gonna have to buy a stick or two, even without a flashed CPU, it would turn on. There is nothing else possible, and of course the only thing with no warranty...

Installed new CPU, boots, but no display on monitor, and USB ports won't work?

Truthfully, I'm just as worried as you. I'd look up a tutorial, or pay someone to do it. If it still doesn't work I'd put a pretty penny on that it's the ram.

Ugh, I've seen this SO many times. It is more than likely you ram. If it's a kit try removing one stick, they may be both or not defective. Your components will "move" but have not resources to "run." What is your ram, and is it new? I suggest updating the bios prior to testing the ram. Do you...

I researched info on CPUs, would anyone mind glancing to see if I missed anything major?

One more thing, you got the info on CPUs, but before you buy one, don't let intel people or amd people (Like I and probably 8350Rocks) Tell you what CPU is better. If you are gaming, just get an AMD. They may lose in the benchmarks but you won't notice a difference unless you have 1000 dollars...

I think my mobo has a faulty pci-e

Just their fancy way of saying, "return it, it is defective." Just request an RMA # and if it is damaged they'll replace it, I believe. I'm sure they must have a good warranty, everyone is all over corsair, as with EVGA and XFX with their lifetime warranties.

    Is it bottleneck problem?

Pretty surprised actually, I'd expect you to have issues with BF3 rather than the simulator. I mean your CPU is under 3 MHZ, there is no other bottleneck as far as I can see.
