News AMD CEO says U.S.-made TSMC chips are more expensive, but worth it — costs 'more than 5% but less than 20%' higher than Taiwan-sourced alternative

IMO a 10% price increase for U.S. produced products isn't unreasonable. Some companies however like to exploit customers by increasing prices 25+% which will likely cost them customers.

    Review TP-Link Archer BE9700 Wi-Fi 7 router review: Tri-band Wi-Fi 7 at an affordable price

What seems to be grossly ignored with most all Wi-Fi routers and / or PC reviews is if the hardware is actually secure. Isn't there a pending U.S. government investigation into backdoor access on these routers? Isn't their weekly security flaws reported on many of the major consumer brands of...

News Palmer Luckey considering entering laptop market with fully US-made model, wants to know if you'd spend 20% more for an American-made PC

Not sure how they could even produce a true "Made in the U.S.A." product considering most PC hardware is produced in Asia. Assembled in the U.S.A. is one thing but actually having all the components produced in the U.S.A. is highly unlikely. That being said there would need to be some value to...

News TP-Link releases $250 Wi-Fi 7 access point that can be submerged in 1.5 meters of water without issue — the heavy-duty wireless router boasts an IP...

The important question to ask: Is it secure or highly vulnerable like most consumer grade Wi-Fi routers?

News Massive privacy concern: over 40,000 security cameras are streaming unsecured footage worldwide

It makes you wonder if the hardware suppliers/users are that security oblivious or if the intent is to make consumers vulnerable? This ain't rocket science for sure.

News Windows 10 support is ending — but End of 10 wants you to switch to Linux

My experience with Linux over the years has always been filled with disappointment. I started out on DOS so command line input is fine by me but I have yet to find a Linux distro that you can download, install and have all the basics you need. Something as simple but necessary as a print driver...

News Microsoft hikes prices of Xbox consoles, controllers, headsets, and games worldwide - cites market conditions and price of development

IME lots of companies in many industries use "tariffs" as a means to price gouge U.S. consumers. It's disgraceful and not at all what tariffs are imposed for. When consumers vote with their wallet unscrupulous purveyors get the message.

News American 3D Printer filament companies raise the flag, not the price

What I find unacceptable is when U.S. companies raise their prices after tariffs are applied to imported competitiors "dumping" in the U.S. market. A tariff is generally intended to raise imported prices to be competitive with U.S. produced goods, not to allow greater profits and prices for U.S...

News Logitech prices are increasing by as much as 25%, and they're not alone

I used a lot of Logitech hardware over the years but finally gave up on them when the quality dropped and they would not respond to new defective product purchases. I think they have lost their way.

News China fires back at Trump’s tariff increases with 125% levies on U.S. goods

125% tariff on ZERO imports from the U.S. is still ZERO revenue for China. If the U.S. had zero Chinese imports the world would likely be a much better place.

News U.S. tariffs to heavily impact HDD and SSD manufacturers, increasing costs

Within 6 months all countries will have made a deal with the U.S. and life as we know it will continue on. Tariffs are a means to an end which is fair trade between all countries without U.S. manufacturers being prevented from selling their products in other countries due to excessive tariffs or...
