I have a serious problem with the MSI RTX 2080ti TRIO.

Completely fixed the issue 100% after adjusting the power cables. Make sure you have a good enough power supply with at least 650w and use seperate cables for the 8 pin connectors.

I have a serious problem with the MSI RTX 2080ti TRIO.

The cards are voltage limited. It's a pretty well known issue now. Gigabyte and EVGA have already released bios updates to fix this. MSI should follow eventually. Nevermind, I was wrong. See below.

You're not alone. I have the same issue with my msi trio 2080ti as well. I think it needs a bios update.

Sudden 50% drop in dx12 and vulkan performance

Nevermind I found the solution to the problem. My cat had jumped on my pc a few days ago and must have knocked the video card loose. Either that or the 7 earthquakes we had in the past few days. Or possibly dust in the PCI slot. I just took it out, blew out the pci slot and reattached it and now...

Sudden 50% drop in dx12 and vulkan performance

I just ran a few dx12 benchmarks and my results seem the same. It might just be that I reached a poorly optimized area in wolfenstein and a 3dmark issue. Still would appreciate some feedback.

Sudden 50% drop in dx12 and vulkan performance

I was playing wolfenstein 2 the other day and noticed extremely low fps and stuttering. This game has played perfectly until now maxed in 4k. I've haven't changed anything on my system at all. I ran the 3dmark api overhead test and noticed both my dx12 and vukan draw calls dropped by 50%. I'm...

Affordable graphics card to make my HTPC 4k capable

Not sure if the OP is still following this but forgot to mention that if you watch 4k netflix, either a 7th gen Intel CPU would be required or a pascal nvidia gpu because of their drm. I also believe a 7th gen cpu is still required for 4k blu ray playback. This will help let you know if your pc...

Affordable graphics card to make my HTPC 4k capable

As long as you aren't gaming, any modern video card should be just fine for 4k video playback. Now if you start to get into stuff like madvr hardware accelerated playback (which looks the best), that can get kind of demanding.

    Gta 5 texture pop in

Guessing the OP is on a HDD. Only two ways to resolve this. Add more ram to your system or move the game to an SSD. What is happening is, the game streams textures from the ram and you're running out. When the ram isn't available, it turns to the Hard drive. I'm currently running the game on a...

    FX 8350 custom build or i7 7700 Asus CD 11 (GTX 1050)

Less CPU is needed for 4k gaming because the GPU would be the main bottleneck for the foreseeable future. Not much point in having a faster CPU for gaming if your GPU can't keep up with it. My I5 6600k isn't holding me back on any titles with my 1080ti because 60fps is really the most I can hope...

    i5 6600k vs 8600k for 4k gaming?

Forgot to mention the funny part is after all these updates, I've seen a boost in cpu performance. Wasn't expecting that. There were quite a few updates so I'm not sure which one did it.

    i5 6600k vs 8600k for 4k gaming?

I'm not saying the problems aren't real. Just saying it's not that big of a deal for us. Just that the media has blown it out of proportion. Like for example how everyone is freaking out about 30% drops in performance. It's easy to tell the media is doing this when they use words like "up to"...
