Yesterday I installed a new CPU cooler which overhung the 1st ram slot. Before this I had 2 4gb sticks installed in slots 1 and 3. I moved the sticks to 2 and 4 originally, but the system would not POST. I have now moved my sticks to 2 and 3, but the system recognizes only 4gb. Motherboard...

Since my RAM does have the 'cooling fins' it looks like I'll just move the RAM sticks or the fan. Thanks a lot!

I have a ASUS H87M-E LGA 1150 Intel H87 uATX motherboard. Will the Hyper 212 EVO overlap my ram slots or the PCIe slot? I don't want to buy a cooler that isn't going to fit my motherboard. My case is a full tower ATX so I shouldn't have problems there. Link to motherboard...

Are different CPU coolers needed for 1150 and 1155 socket CPUs?
