PC is for pure gaming Mobo z97 maximus CPU i7 4790k 4.0ghz I Decided on going 2x8 and something in the line of g.skill would be nice.

Looking to play the witcher 3 at 60 fps+ but need a good 24 1080p inch because current 27 incher at 1440p is way too demanding fps wise(might aswel go g-sync too) Current gpu is 980 strix bdw and I dont plan on going sli

I'm trying to build my first build but It seems the cpu connector that goes on the top left of the motherboard doesn't fit (the 8 pin that goes in the psu fits but the other end,which is a split 8 pin doesn't fit.... as in the shape of the plastic molds don't match the mother board) (yes I tried...
