This I'd be happy with a gpu competitor to virtual machine graphics for Vmware Horizons other than nvidia charging the crap out of people for licencing.
Being the Kingpin 2080 ti was 1900$ on release I believe but the regular msrp on a 2080 ti was 999$ we could be looking at something around 2399$ price tag on the 3090 kingpin. 2299$ would feel about right.
I don't really blame them for that price tag considering the amount of work involved...
