I'm using the stock fan and I guess that since this is my first build I was scared by how loud it was in the open. However, when I checked the BIOS it said that my CPU was only 38C and when I pick the motherboard up it isn't as loud. So I think everything is fine. Thanks for your time.

Nevermind, I figured out that the 8 pin power supply split into 2 4 pin ones so I did that and the motherboard powers up but the CPU fan is really loud and fast and I get a message saying the Shell Version is 2.31 and cannot find required map name. Any ideas?

Alternatively, can I just try plugging half of the 8 pin supply into the 4 pin CPU?
