    Urgent Help!-CPU CAPPED AT 800mhz

Information regarding your system specs and what parts have been reused from old on this rebuild, and what is the cause of the rebuild would be helpful. Maybe it's not your bios settings. Maybe your board is faulty.

    Urgent Help!-CPU CAPPED AT 800mhz

Without more information then, you're probably not going to find help. Defaulting to 800mhz, while being set at 4.7ghz overclock suggests something you've done in the bios. As rgd1101 alluded to, that is not the default clockspeed for that processor. So something else that has been altered in...

    Urgent Help!-CPU CAPPED AT 800mhz

Have you checked your power options, under system settings in your control panel? Specifically the minimum processor state. Aside from this, you will probably need to provide more info about your specific bios settings, temp readings, and possibly do some physical trouble shooting if you're...

    Need Help With EVGA X79 Classified+I7 4820k

Yes you can use 2133 or 2400 ram. It is a simple checkbox(enable intel XMP) in the bios on this platform, as long as you're not doing any really stressful overclocks on the chip that might conflict with it. I run this platform and use 2133 ram by enabling the XMP in the bios. I also have a...

Can I increase the Frequency of the CPU? - Intel Core I7-4930 3.40 GHz

That cpu is overclockable, and what exactly are you running that you're using 100% on all cores?

I have a blow head gasket would it have a big puddle under my truck

If you live in a cold climate, even if you're currently seeing moderate temperatures as we approach spring, power steering pressure lines are a common failure in winter in north america. The added abuse of cold engines/pumps on cold mornings, and people in a hurry to get to work causes them to...

My PC is running VERY slowly and I'm not sure why.

Did you reinstall windows when you upgraded? Most of the time, when you change cpu's and/or mobo, the driver discrepencies cause massive slowdowns because your new physical components are fighting old drivers for different components.

    Where's the bottle neck?

In what configuration are those ram sticks seated in the motherboard? I would be interested as to how they are being recognized in the system and at what datarate they are actually running at. With mixed sticks of mixed size, brand, speed, and latency there is good chance that they are not...

    is my 2400 ram useless with i7 4820 ?

As a side note, with the x79 platform, you really should have gone with a 4X4GB kit to take advantage of the quad channel memory controller. That is kind of a lost opportunity in this case unless you can return the ram you got. Check my sig, I run a similar machine.

    is my 2400 ram useless with i7 4820 ?

No, your board should support XMP profiles upto 2400. You should just have to enable your XMP profile in your bios and it will step up your ram timings to their optimum rating. We can argue about whether 2400 ram is actually worth the extra expense, but you did not waste your money as far as...

    ASUS VG248QE colors

I have the 27" version of the same monitor and I agree with the "washed out" assessment, although this can be mitigated through thorough calibration for the most part. As an alternative, many reviews for the Benq 1080p high-hz monitor have great reviews and supposedly better colour production...

Is the VG248QE a good monitor?

I have the 27" version of this monitor. The colors are not as vibrant as an older Samsung that I had, somewhat duller/white or lightwashed. Great monitor though. Definately notice the difference in gaming and watching sports online.

Best Intel CPU (Details in Topic)

Yeah, I have that processor and it's been great. Easily overclocked to 4.3Ghz. If you have an older 2011 board, make sure you look into flashing it so that it can take the newer 2011 processors. Considering the price difference, and your intended usage, the 4820k should be great and the best...

SLI extremely loud fan when one card gets around 65 degrees

GPU in the primary slot will always take more of the load, produce more heat, and therefore need to cool itself more with higher fan speeds. As far as fans, you'll have to look into some GPU clocking programs that allow you to set fan profiles depending on load. MSI has the afterburner program...
