This we dont get. i have pulled the HSF applies arctic MX4, re installed windows, re seated the CPU. What happens is the CPU under idle according to AMD overdrive and other monitoring apps will idle at around 40-50c but then when you start a game or put it under any load the temps actually drop...

see now this is where i would absolutely recommend an 8 core AMD. they are lousy for gaming because they use huge amounts of power and dont really do so well because of the per core performance. but once you get all 8 threads working on a heavy load AMD is the better choice.

this is very common with garrys mod. especially if you download other mods and textures they can conflict and do weird things. its just an error with garrys mod. ignore it and carry on.

un install drivers and re install the latest ones from AMD. thats the only reason i can think of why screen tearing still happens even with Vsync enabled in game and in the CCC

hopefully it covers the VRMs as well because from the picture provided above they dont have any heatsinks on them they are just air cooled. but who knows how much airflow actually goes past them. seems like its not enough to keep them cooled either way.

well im not sure what to tell you other than maby buy a brand new heatsinc for your GPU? perhaps yours is installed in such a way that it doesnt get much airflow over VRM1 or even worse blocks the heat from dissipating? im thinking buying a 3rd party heatsinc and installing that could fix your...

if you un install your drivers and restart your system assuming you have Microsoft update turned on the computer will detect the hardware has no drivers and download generic drivers and install them. after that you can install the real AMD drivers. have you tried this yet?
