I wish I did my homework. I would like to switch from Amd to intel, but I do not know what motherboard would be best compatible. Ram and cooling is not as big as a concern as I never gave it much thought.

Sorry for being bothersome, but don't I have to get a new motherboard? My current processor is AMD, so does that mean I have to get a new motherboard that supports an intel chipset?
