    Ethernet Port Not Blinking

    I am a total noob here so bear with me. I built a pc recently and installed the OS. When I connected the ethernet cable, it doesn't have any reaction, not a blink or change in the icon. But if I connect a Wi-Fi modem to that port it then works fine. Thank you.
