Video rendering error on new laptop

Well, I have a GTX 1060 but it's operating on Intel integrated graphics normally, so I tried looking through both my Windows display settings and the Intel graphics settings and didn't see anything like graphics hardware acceleration. I'm not sure that changing anything in my Nvidia settings...

Video rendering error on new laptop

I'm not sure, I haven't seen it happen on my main screen with or without the monitor, but I almost never watch youtube videos on my main screen. It's a pretty random seeming problem so I don't have an easy way of attempting to trigger it .

Video rendering error on new laptop

I got a new Dell Inspiron 15 7567 a month ago and its been mostly good (besides Dell's shit support, but thats another issue), but it has some weird quirks that are a little concerning. Word will visually lag occasionally, as in the cursor will be behind the words I'm typing, and moving the...

Computer shuts down while gaming with no bluescreen

I borrowed a 650W PSU from a friend and everything runs perfectly fine, I can launch any game and play for as long as I like, games that would barely run past the main menu (Shadow Warrior) will now sit staring at massive fires or whatever else graphically intensive I can find without missing a...

Computer shuts down while gaming with no bluescreen

I just called XFX and they told me a couple things: 1)The card should not shut down before at least 100 C. 2)The card is safe to run into the 90's. 3)I can get a new cooler sent to me free of charge without a receipt. I'm going to attempt to get a new cooler and see if that fixes the problem...

Computer shuts down while gaming with no bluescreen

Regardless of what might be safe for the card, I don't really want it throttling itself, so I'm going to try and get a new one under warranty because it has heated up in the past couple months and go from there. If I still have a problem with shutting down, I'm going to buy an Antec HCG 850W...

Computer shuts down while gaming with no bluescreen

I just tested again to make sure I was giving the correct GPU temps and found that it's gotten even worse in the past month or two that I've been trying to solve this problem. Just sitting on the home screen of Warframe got me up to 83-84 C, when I went into a game and did something graphically...

Computer shuts down while gaming with no bluescreen

Would 750 be enough to run just one 770 or 280x? Or should I go for the 850? Also, how did you come up with the numbers you gave me? I've used a couple psu calculators and they all give radically different numbers, one on Newegg gave me a wattage of ~1500 for dual cards but then this one...

Computer shuts down while gaming with no bluescreen

Thanks for your help. Do you have any suggestions on wattage or a psu? I will probably try to overclock my CPU. Also, what would be the wattage difference between my current GPU and something like dual GTX 770s or R9 280Xs? Edit: I've been looking at this as an upgrade...

Computer shuts down while gaming with no bluescreen

I just downloaded it and tested using the default settings and my computer instantly shut down and then restarted, which it normally doesnt do, usually it just shuts down and then stays off. Not sure if that difference means anything. My GPU temps didn't even have time to display.

Computer shuts down while gaming with no bluescreen

I've been thinking the same thing about the cooler but I'd rather solve one problem at a time. Is there any way to test my PSU? I've tested it with a multimeter recently and all the voltages were good, I doubt this is the same as when it's under load but I don't know of any way to test it...

Computer shuts down while gaming with no bluescreen

After playing a graphically intensive game for a bit (anywhere from 2 min to 30 min), my computer shuts down with no warning at all. No BSOD, my computer just shuts down and after about 3 seconds restarts. Using WhoCrashed, I found a couple instances of a "VIDEO_TDR_ERROR" where atikmpag.sys is...

Computer shuts down while gaming with no bluescreen

Here is a screenshot of the System Summary that comes up when it first starts up: Is this what you wanted? Also, is there an easier way than looking at the actual hardware to find the model and serial numbers? My OS is Windows 7 64-bit.
