I recently built my own gaming computer using: i5-4690k Asus Z97-AR MSI GTX 770 2GB However, while my sound is working with my earphones plugged in, my mic is not. Is there something wrong with my system? What should I do to fix this?

What the title says pretty much. This will be my first gaming build. As long as the case as front USB 3.0 ports, good cable management, and decent build quality, I'm fine with anything. But something I can trust using. This is my build currently and I've already bought most of them...
