those quad cores are beasts. sometimes they just keep running when the cooler is of. once a client came to me and said his pc was very slow and the fan was continuously running 100%. I opened up the case and there was such a quad core with the cooler laying on the bottom of the case XD But...

hey everyone. I'm currently running 4hdd's and one ssd in my rig but I want to go to 1 hdd and keep my ssd. so when I buy a new 2tb Seagate hdd can I throw all stuff from the other hdd's onto the new one without creating any problems? and do all my shortcuts still work? I also have one raid...

the x61 is excellent and looks good but you could also save 25 bucks extra and get a 360mm aio like the thermaltake water 3 ultimate (pure performance based but a bit loud) or the Fractal design Kelvin s36 (looks better and is more quite then the water 3 ultimate)

you could also go for an expandable fractal design Kelvin s36. it's a good looking 360m aio and it's expendable because it uses g1/4 fittings and tubing. and otherwise go for the ekbw one.

you could wait a bit for the new firepro's to come. those use m2 ssd's as vram and if you add 120gb vram it should be able to handle those screens..

nothing bad could happen actually.. the worst thing that could happen is that your pc won't boot.. but this is enough wattage for the gpu.. the 7770 uses a lot of power and if that one works the 280 will also work! good luck with your new gpu

this is enough for 4k gaming.. 1080p everything on ultra. nice rig btw..

I should upgrade the cpu if I were you. you can go for a k version and overclock it a bit. may I ask which chipset and socket you have now?

if you have an old case you can try it but use cardboard pieces between the Mobo and case because you can short the Mobo if it touches the metal/aluminium case.

the kraken x61 pump itself has a Mobo header. did you plug the pump header into the cpu fan connector? if you plug the header into the Mobo it shouldn't give the error anymore. and plug the radiator fans into the pump connectors.

you can oc on b85 Chipset but im not sure if you can on this board. on my g1 sniper b6 with b85 chipset I got the 4790k to 4,7 ghz. (nzxt kraken x61 cooler) and it was stable.
