I purchased the Gigabyte G27Q-AU a few months ago. Everything about it is amazing except for this one issue. When my PC goes to sleep, sometimes (not consistently) the monitor seems to disconnect from the PC.
So I press Win+L to lock my PC, leave it for a bit for the screens to turn off, then...
Thanks for all the suggestions!
I'm not worried about losing the data on the drive, I will be completely backing up all the important stuff before sending it off, it's more that I don't want the inconvenience of having to re-download hundreds of Gb of files, games, etc once I get the device...
I plan on sending my laptop back for repair, and I'm looking for ways of dealing with the data I have on the PC. I was wondering whether Bitlocker Drive encryption is a viable option for this scenario.
The manufacturer has requested that I create a user account they can use to login to...

No. It's backed up to the cloud.
I managed to go through with my plan of shuffling the data around the volumes. Each time I did this, I copied the files over, and used this program (freefilesync.org) to verify that all the data had been copied over correctly.
I'm now left with below.
It's...
Nothing private on the names of those volumes haha, just identifiable information that I didn't want to post on a public forum.
Would it be possible to move all the data from volume E into volume F, then delete volume E. Then I'll be left with volumes D and F.
Then, expand volume D as...
Here is the rest of the info in Disk Management relevant to the drive in question:
I was afraid of that... Is there any possibility at all of shuffling some data around the volumes? If it helps, here is a screenshot from the AOMEI Partition Manager:
As you can see, I do have free space on...
I have a 4TB drive that has 3 partitions on it. Conveniently, now, after about a year of owning it, I realised what a stupid mistake I have made partitioning the drive in the first place as I've had to expand partitions twice so far, and things are getting messy, so I'm trying to correct my...
Yes. I went over everything with a vacuum. The sudden spikes in temperature makes me feel like the overall thermal mass that is available to the CPU is almost non-existent, and I can't think of anything that could cause this other than bad thermal conductivity between the CPU and the heatsink...
That's what I would have thought too. But right now, when idling, CPU is at ~60°C. The instant I hit it with a load, the temp jumps to high 90s and starts thermal throttling. There's not even a hint of that increasing curve that was present with the freshly applied thermal paste. Is there...
Dell Inspiron 15 5000
CPU: i7-8550U
GPU: Radeon 530
My laptop's cooling solutions is overall quite terrible, max CPU temps of ~99°C, temperature immediately shoots up when hit with a load, and constant thermal throttling when under load. Perplexingly, highest I've seen GPU go up to is...
