Is a ryzen 3 1300x enough for gaming in general and vr and what about streaming while gaming (but not vr games just normal games)

To my understanding to use zen+ you need to bios flash mobo's so is that only for old mobos and do all new mobos that were available before need to be flashed or if bought new now will be ready for Zen+

So i bought a H50 Aio because I was gonna upgrade to an i5 7600k but then i wanted a ryzen instead and since i havent bought a mobo for intel yet i figured i could just return the cooler but it turns out newegg is gonna charge me 20 dollars to return it so i want to know if the H50 will good...
