[SOLVED] Gigabyte aorus x570 wifi Mini itx - how to get WiFi controller to work?

I don’t see any reference to a WiFi controller in the uefi, only the Ethernet port. In windows computer management also, no WiFi device available. bios version is F11, so looks like the latest. stumped. Can anyone tell me if I’m supposed to be able to see the WiFi in the bios somewhere?

[SOLVED] 6pin and 6+2pin into Asus ROG Strix 2070 super?

Using forum posts as a sales channel is ultra cheesy. Ugh.

[SOLVED] 6pin and 6+2pin into Asus ROG Strix 2070 super?

It is fascinating how ambiguous the Nvidia manual is for installing a 2070super. Also it’s terribly confusing when the manual says there is one 6pin and one 8pin cable needed but the actual cars had two 8pin sockets. my 3-year old 750W PSU has these cables: 6pin unlabeled 6pin labeled PCIe...

Question Is running a full Win system off a flash drive save/worry-free?

I’m looking to place a full system on a 128GB stick and use it as a portable environment. How feasible is that in reality? I imagine it’s ok because it’s simply a drive and I can set Urdu to boot off usb of course. Will I have to worry about anything specific? Is performance impacted? I plan...

Is Windows 10 option to enter UEFI reliable if I enter Ultra Fast Boot?

Can I reliably enter UEFI if I need to, by using Windows 10's Shift-Reboot option Menu (you know, where you get the recovery options etc, under advanced... "enter UEFI on restart")? I'd hate to end up having to figure out how to get into UEFI by other means just because I wanted to shave off 10...

    Sata3 HDD into MOBO's USB3 header - what cable should I use?

Thanks. I guess I'll swap out the SSD on the SATA ports and plug that into the USB3 header.

    Sata3 HDD into MOBO's USB3 header - what cable should I use?

I'm out of SATA connectors (I have 4 available, and already 4 drives attached), but there are some USB 3.0 headers that I'm hoping to attach a 4TB SATA 3 5300 rpm HDD to. I've tried to use one of these but it's not working (my theory is that the USB back panel connector does not supply enough...

Too many b350 mATX options. What gives?

I went with ASRock b350m pro4 Heat sinks on MOSFETs and VRMs 4 DIMM slots Fast POST Useful, feature rich and unpretentious EFI Under $100.- My only gripe is 4 SATA ports. I wanted 6. And personal priority feature: POST without display attached. Not all mobos will do this but nobody...

What's the correct way to put a new 4TB NTFS USB3.0 disk through its paces to ensure it's good?

Based on these answers, it appears that it's always a lottery every time? I'm having trouble with that philosophy. There ought to be a way to test a drive to see if it's holding reasonably well for consumer use. RAID is overkill, I've got no budget for it, and the drive is a backup. Over the...

What's the correct way to put a new 4TB NTFS USB3.0 disk through its paces to ensure it's good?

@13th monkey, you're assuming that all my files ar the same size... So, let me qualify a little more: Tens of thousands of large files in the 50-400 MB range, a few hundred in the 0.5-2 GB, followed by millions of small files ranging from 0.4kb to 1.5kb The small files are pretty much write...

What's the correct way to put a new 4TB NTFS USB3.0 disk through its paces to ensure it's good?

After recently living through the nightmare of losing a brand new backup drive to hardware failure, im apprehensive (it literally failed completely the second time I plugged it in when I was planning to check data integrity after copying files). I'd like to put the replacement drive I got...

    HDD No bootable device

Sounds like you might have MBR issues. Maybe your master boot record got corrupted and now the system can't find the boot record. Those types of issues are pretty difficult to resolve. I'd say get a flash drive, set it up on another machine as a recovery disk (windows PE), then run some disk...

really vexed: Seagate 4TB USB not recognized in win 10 or bios but shows on other machine

I've had seagate drives for decades and never had problems, but looking at newegg reviews for this particular one seems to me its just a low quality product line with oodles of issues on win 10 especially. one thing I dont like about the seagate drives is their weird connector, its flimsy...

really vexed: Seagate 4TB USB not recognized in win 10 or bios but shows on other machine

Good idea. But it's having no issues on the win 7 machine. Plus this being a seagate they use their own weird connector design so now I have to buy a cable just for that. Thanks for the suggestion. I'm really hoping it's not the controller board.
