Question Need help upgrading on a budget

If you've got 800 Dollars, i'd salvage the GPU and Storage and go for a new build, you're basically as far as you can go on an AM3+ mobo. Although it looks like from the Above comments that you can pretty much get the build you wanted anyway for that cash

Question Will this cpu hold for a while?

Well, using Fortnite as a base then, recommended specs is an i5 2.8ghz, so say for example an i5-6400 clocked at 2.7ghz, the Ryzen 2200g outperforms the i5 accoring to UserBenchmark. No idea what sort of frames you'll be looking at exactly, but there are some vids on youtube of your build, and...

[SOLVED] Hi, i have come across some parts

Really? pretty good considering what you got for it, I'd complete the build, try and sell it on as a low/mid range Gaming PC on Ebay or something, then use that money to upgrade your own PC! I'm sure plenty of people will pay 200+ for that PC if you put it all together, because it's still more...

Question Old PSU went pop, new PSU powers on for split second

Ah Bro, that's not good, if you can get hold of another PC, maybe test each part one by one, if you're lucky the damage didn't extend further than the Mobo. Definitely sounds like your Motherboard is toast at the very least though.

[SOLVED] Hi, i have come across some parts

How much did you get it for? If you can afford it, get a new CPU and Mobo, i5-8400 is very reasonable, best price/performance ratio. Or it certainly was when I bought it, not sure about now the Ryzens may have dropped in price. i've only got a 1050 ti but Apex seems to get along just fine with it.

[SOLVED] New pc for games like rust help

What can I say, most pre-builds of that price are a waste of money, they're all a Con.

    [SOLVED] Opinions on this build

Pretty good for what you need it for, aslong as it is just ''light gaming'' I'd probably swap out the HDD for an SSD, or maybe just add a 240GB SSD if you've got the cash for your OS and any games, the prices have dropped a lot in recent times, and it will make all sorts of difference.

[SOLVED] New pc for games like rust help

Just find the games you play, have a look at the recommended specs for those games and use that as a guide, then browse around pre-builds. I will say though, I know you don't want to build a PC, but you'll get so much more for your money, and you can personalise it to work for you. These...

Question New PC Build Not Displaying Video

That's a nice Build, Jeez. Does it not display at all, even without the GPU in then? I remember when this happened to me, it was a while ago and it was because I forgot to put the Risers under the Mobo when I screwed it in, and it was just shorting every time I booted. Soon as I took it back...
