It would not be possible because there is no mounting bracket for a CPU cooler on the GPU. Also, the contact for heat transfer would be completely wrong. On another note, why would you want to do this anyway?
If you put the drive in your new system, you will be able to access all the data on it (or at least that is my experience with it). When your PC boots, make sure that the ssd is first in the boot order.
I would recommend getting a new mobo, not only will your performance be better with the newer parts, but it will allow for easier upgrades in the future.
I need a PC for mid-level gaming, coding, and schoolwork. Can anyone give me a parts list for a budget of £700? This is not including the OS and monitor.
Thanks - TM
I am building a pc soon and I want to use PCI-E wireless adapter, I also want to use M.2 storage but I'm not sure if I can connect it along with the wireless adapter.
Motherboard: ASRock - Z370 Pro4 ATX LGA1151
I believe the Kapersky program should be loaded onto a disk or USB drive. Then you boot the PC from it and follow the instructions provided by RealBeast.
Possibly try upgrading the CPU, GPU, or both. To get a newer gen processor you might need to get a new motherboard. An SSD may also help performance if you load your games onto that.
