Yep, if I can find gpu under $150 for the old rig that would be perfect for her 1080p gaming, 5700xt would be more than enough; the old 1080ti is going as a gift to friend struggling with a 1050ti on modern titles.
Hello there,
It has been a hot minute (7+ years) since I have built a new PC and have been out of touch with the latest hardware updates; I was hoping to recvieve any ciritsim or suggestions to the build below. Only thing I am having difficulty calculating is stick with the 7900XT for ~$780...
he wont be doing heavy/intense video editing, gaming is priority, and I would rather set him up for future upgrades into an i5/i7 rather than overclocking an aging fx-6300.I assumed this i3 isn't too far off from the fx's 6 cores in video rendering.
This is what I was thinking of, what are some alternatives or changes to improve on this?
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant
CPU: Intel Core i3-6100 3.7GHz Dual-Core Processor ($110.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: Asus H110M-A Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($57.88 @ OutletPC)...
500$ max budget for just the tower and components.
Will be used mostly for gaming and YouTube video editing/recording etc.
Would be nice to see multiple options/alternatives to what I have planned on paper.
Thanks.
