    Look in the manual for your TV and you will find there what resolution and Hz are correct for this TV. You will see two different configuration settings, one for VGA and the second for HDMI. Make sure to use higher resolution +Hz

    I don't know how old is your TV but it should have one or more HDMI connections, so you can buy HDMI cable and one dongle to your PC.

    Yes, I always try to keep my software and drivers up to date and if they have upgrade I remove old version first.
