Computer crashes when playing certain games etc.

It's been ages. And I should probably have done this before but... anyway. Turns out it was the Motherboard. I got a replacement and everything is working fine and dandy. Thanks guys!

Yeah, so my CPU is fluctuating anywhere between approx. 1500 MHz and 4300+ MHz... along with CPU Fan speeds fluctuating between approx 881 RPM and 675000 RPM.

Okay, so on both HWMonitor and Speccy I'm getting CPU Fan speeds of 881 RPM - 675000 RPM... but not in my BIOS... Weird...

I've checked my BIOS and it's fine. Must have just been a strange bug in HWMonitor... :S

Okay, so I've just had a look at HWMonitor, and it's saying my CPU fan is running at 844 RPM minimum, and 675,000 RPM Maximum... wtf?

Ahh, okay. Considering I can't run it anywhere near as hard as I should be able to just to check is making it very hard. I'll try uninstalling my GPU driver and running intensive stuff.

I've checked HWMonitor and my PSU Voltages are all easily within 5%. Does that mean I can rule it out?

Ran a CHCKDSK on all three drives, all had no bad sectors. Any other software you recommend to test?

Uninstalled Coretemp, and still having freezing.

Just downloaded the previous version and tried it and it seemed to be even worse... might just be coincidence, but it didn't even let the option screen fully go away once I selected a test to run.

Screen freezes. I can't move my mouse, or anything. Fans etc is still running, but the screen completely just stays still.

Just ran Core Temp and HWMonitor, and ran P95. Core temp showed 25 C and HWM showed 45C and it crashed almost immediately.

I'm using Core Temp. It's been around that for idle since I built it. I'll try the other monitor though.

Okay, so I'm running Memtest86 with a different USB stick. This time I chose the non-UEFI option and it's completed a full pass with no errors, and it's not resetting on Parallel Mode like it was... So... PSU?
