Small edit: updated the BIOS to the most recent version F23f, which has had no impact on results. Currently running in normal mode, as opposed to safe mode, with no graphics drivers installed. Any attempt to install causes the crash. Reinstalling OS had no effect.

I have just put together my rig with a Gigabyte GA-Z170N-Gaming 5 motherboard and a I5-7600k. I've been told that I need to update the BIOS before I can get anywhere. Can I update the BIOS without the display? If not what do I need to do? Thanks in advance!
