News AMD's new RX 9060 ripped out of OEM PC and benchmarked — beats the RTX 5050 by 20 percent, basically ties the RTX 5060 in gaming and productivity

Incredible how even a tech journalist unable to calculate percentages… 😂 it beats the 5050 by 25%. OR the 5050 is 20% slower. Unbelievable 🤣 please for god’s sake correct it in the headline and in article.

Review Intel Arc B580 review: The new $249 GPU champion has arrived

Thx for the review! I find it odd that the A580, the predecessor is not in the charts. Then i checked tpu: in price/perf actually there is 3% regressuon compared to A580. Pfff. Thats not good.

News Intel announces the Arc B580 and Arc B570 GPUs priced at $249 and $219 — Battlemage brings much-needed competition to the budget graphics card market

So gen on gen (A580- $179) this delivers roughly 40-45% more performance for exactly 40% more money, and adds an extra 4gb of vram? Do i get it right? 😬

News RTX 5070 Ti rumor points to 8,960 CUDA cores and 300W TDP — Blackwell GPU may use the same GB203 die as the RTX 5080

No it wont. Because the si called “4080” is in reality already a xx70ti gpu, so it already hit the 1k mark.

News AMD's dense Zen 4c cores go embedded — new EPYC Embedded 8004 series CPUs for compact and efficiency focused servers

I dont really get it. Zen4c is way more compact in die area. If the normal 9000 series already consist 96core version, here a 128 core version is just a no brainer. Maybe even a 160 core is fitting. Where are those?

News Intel Battlemage GPU has surfaced in the wild — GPU spotted with 24 Xe2 cores, 19 Gbps memory, 12GB VRAM, 192-bit bus

Thats a no-go. The rx6800 with 16g is widely avaliable here for 340-350usd for several month now, in stores on the shelves still. If this one is slower and having 12g only, no way it should cost above 300usd

News Nvidia GTX branding finally reaches the end of the line after 19 years — the last GTX 16-series chips have left the foundry

Review AMD Radeon RX 7900 GRE review: the lowest binned Navi 31 variant is now globally available, starting at $549

You nailed it. It is exactly between those two. My friend has one for several month now (EU you could bought it even as a standalone product ). It is bandwith starved. 18gbit/s and 256bit bus just kills it. Would they give it 20gbit/s it could be on par at least with the 6950xt.

News AMD doubles the VRAM and boosts clocks with the Radeon RX 7600 XT 16GB — launching January 24 at $329

Meanwhile Matty from a few weeks ago: "AMD is almost certainly using a chiplet design for the Radeon RX 7600 XT..." His saving grace is that he put there the word 'almost'. And I cannot find the other article but I clearly remember the wording stating impossible to use N33 as it is already maxed...

News RX 6800 XT is Faster Than RX 7800 XT in Linux Gaming

Yes, they did a similar thing with the upnaming, difference being rdna3 did not hit target (I would debate it is 15-20% off), while Nvidia actually quiet overrun (2 node jump, new uarch, etc). So now the gap is very big. Hence nvidia is able to somewhat run away with a product named one tier...

News RX 6800 XT is Faster Than RX 7800 XT in Linux Gaming

Not a suprise, this "7800XT" is just really a 7700XT at best. (And even then I was very generous) You can check out I'm a MAC on youtube analyzing this whole rdna3 mess...

News Nvidia Says Native Resolution Gaming is Out, DLSS is Here to Stay

I would do the same from their perspective. From my perspective they are dead for a while. And if I would be soíe kind of universal governor of the earth, i would implement very nice laws. no product upnaming. Cannot cost more then 5% of previous gen. Minimum raster uplift is 30%. Rt and tensor...
