    amazon seller shipped me a used hard disk

    bought a Hard drive from a seller called "Risee ", the product description says new, the item arrived is also labelled brand new. But as soon as I installed it and boot my PC, the BIOS asks me for HDD password which is obviously set by previous owner. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER EVERYONE!

    i can't format because it isn't even initialized and have a drive letter assigned. Lesson learnt don't ever buy hard disk from Amazon because they put it in a business envelope with only 2 layers of bubble sheets.

    I bought Toshiba MD05ACA800 8TB on amazon and it was delivered today, I installed it and plugged everything correctly. But windows won't initialize my drive, says "the specified disk is not convertible because the size is less than the minimum size for gpt disks". I can't see the drive in BIOS...
