Ok, it looks like I may have figured it out. At least it is working so far. In the configuration utility, they automatically set power save to on. I turned it off and it appears to be working. Time will tell.
I just installed a TP-Link wireless N PCI adapter... model TL-WN751ND and while I type, my cursor just disappears and I have to click where I was to start typing again. I type for a living, so this is very annoying. It happens every couple of minutes. I have Windows 7.
I just talked with Hauppauge and they said the 1800 will only work on first generation slots and any new computer is a second generation. So I guess I am back to buying a new tuner.

Ok, I just did that and the same thing happened. It downloads to where I choose install drivers. Then when I choose that, it runs through the course and comes up Drivers have not been updated. Compatible hardware not found.
I just bought a new HP computer and added a TV tuner. I need to download the drivers but it says it isn't detected. I went to device manager and it isn't listed. I also do not have anything that is unknown. How do I get my brand new computer to find it?
