I figured that I didn't turn it the right way so one pin was on the wrong position. Took it out and connected it back in properly and now everything is working. Thank you guys for your quick answers.

Yes, the connector from the case is connected to the USB 3.0 Header on the motherboard. Checked in the manual and it even says so on the MOBO.
