Noticeable Difference Between PCIe 2.0 and 3.0?

Thanks for the response. I guess the only thing I was worried about was the fact that the MoBo bumps me down to 8x when multiple cards are hooked up. Didn't know if that would affect the bandwidth of PCIe 2.0 or not.

Noticeable Difference Between PCIe 2.0 and 3.0?

I'm looking at upgrading my system to support gaming at 2560x1440, mainly BF4 at the moment. I currently have a Radeon HD 7950, i5 2500k, 850w Corsair PSU, and an Asrock Xtreme 3 Gen 3 z68 mobo. I'm looking to get another 7950 and setting it up in a Crossfire array. My question is: What kind...

Game causing week old system to crash

I don't think it's heat related. The case is a Cooler Master 912. I've only got three 120mm fans currently besides the Hyper 212's fan. One on the side blowing in, one in the front blowing in and one on the black blowing out. I will be adding one more to the front and two more on the top...

Game causing week old system to crash

While playing Witcher 2 everything will be going fine, temperatures completely stable and the like, when suddenly my screen will go black and I will no longer have input from DVI. When I attempt to reset the system I get five short POST beeps. I just built my system less than a week ago and...

    Ordering tonight, compatibility check

Thanks for the advice, I will definitely get the smaller RAM as I didn't even think of the heat spreaders getting in the way. Any reason in particular you recommend the Asus mobo over the Asrock?

    Last Minute Advice ~$800 Build

I haven't heard much about the OCZ PSU's. How are they for reliability? The i3-2100's multiplier is locked isn't it? I'm not very experienced with overclocking would I be able to do much with it and would it be comparable to the phenom with stock clock?

    First time build ~$1500

Thanks for the advice I will definitely step the mobo back to the Asus P8Z68-V and look into the other SSD. The one thing I'm not very sure with in this setup is the case. I'm not looking for anything too extreme I just want a nice case that has enough room and airflow for overclocking and an...
