    Question about Multipliers

There are many answers ... but the best sollution its to benchmark each setting (300x12, 320x11 , 350x10) . Use Everest 3.50.761 or Sandra7 and run a full loop of benchmarks (memory+proc) for each setting ...write them down and u'll have the whole picture to figure out how fsb influence...

    Help with X6800 Temp issue

If this temps are read by CoreTemp or TAT than u're safe ... anything below 70C is good for your proc to last minimum 2-3 years. If u wanna keep it ... like forever :D ... then u should stay with full load temps @ around 55-60C

Update to bios 0804! then Put this exact settings in your bios : First DISABLE everything in "CPU Config" TAB. Only set manual Multiplier at 8X here. In Free jumper tab put this : Cpu ratio (FSB) - 401 Ram - 802 (should switch automatically when u change FSB) PCI - 110 PCi clock 33.33...

    C2D 6300 vs 6400

6400 Oc more than 6300 is not a rule ! The differences between how high your C2D will OC are made by the production week. For example ... from my experience i noticed that the most over-clockable C2D are the ones from week 29 and the least OC are week 26. So a week 29 6300 will beat the hell...

Abit AB9, E6400, GEIL DDR-800, Raptor 78 GB fast system OC?

If by max settings u reffer to max safe Vcore ... then u shouldnt exceed 1.5V. If u're full load temps stays below 65C then u could go to 1.55V but no more if u want to be sure that ur chip live at least 2-3 years. The Ram u choosed is ok... cause will hold up to 420-430 FSB at 1:1 ratio ...

Cant quite get it to work.

Try this : Update to latest bios. In "cpu config." tab set everything to disable, also disable any speed fan control. Then set manually your ram to 2.1Vdimm , 5-5-5-15 Vcore 1.4V, V FSB 1.3 , V NB 1.45 , V SB 1.6 , V ICH - auto (where is possible , where not - leave it to auto) Set your FSB...

Indeed ! ..but what's worse is that .. nowadays everybody wants to OC without spending any effort what so ever ! They pull out their fat wallets , order these high-end pieces and then ... of course ... they want the cherry from the top too. For my first OC attempt I spend no less than a...

    E6300&P5B-Dlx @ 3.4ghz how far this will go ?

Well in the first place , i changed the termic grease my cooler used (it was a generic one , not the stock mx-1) with some AS5. The temps lowered 3-4C ... which is pretty good considering AS5 needs about 200hours to fully stabilize. So , my last Orthos stable specs in the tests last night were...

    New 6600 build, the possabilities?

Well ... in any case this is NOT a rule ! Every processor is different and acts different given the same circumstances ... even if its the same model! Also there are other variables which could affect OC performances from one sistem to another ( MB , RAM , PSU .. and so on) . Bottom line , u...
