So the other day I completely shut down my computer to clean the dust out using compressed air. I turned of the power supply and unplugged it while the os was in sleep mode. I didn’t give it much thought. Now every time I hit sleep mode on my computer I get a BSOD screen with system exception...

I just checked my other drives have those two holes for the clips. So this is probably my problem right?

okay since This problem has gone unresolved for now, is it okay to keep this thread open or do i have to mark something as a solution

I tried it both ways. no success. Is the tape fine though or will that lead to any unexpected complications?

Okay I tried pushing up on the clip while pushing but that also did not work. I have now secured the wire to the hard drive using electrical tape. Anyone see any problems with this?

Tried pushing a little harder with no success. I heard a hammer can help in this case. What do you think?

Okay I installed the new hard drive and it only gave a slight boost in performance. Makes me wonder if I should just do a fresh install of the OS and be done with it.
