Sony Online to Shut Down Four MMOs This Year

It's called running a business. They are not in business to lose money, although that is sometimes the result.

    AMD vs Intel Processors!

This really depends on what pricing level you are interested in... This question will have many different answers based on price and goals

Delta DPS-650LB server repurposed for gaming rig?

I didn't see you mention anywhere that you are a professional electrical engineer or electrician... So I would probably avoid this practice unless you want to risk electrocution or starting a fire :) I would prefer to pay 100 bucks for peace of mind, but that's just me.

    Asus battery will not charge

If it is brand new and not charging, the problem is probably a bad connection between the charging port on the laptop and the battery, or the power brick itself is no good. Does the light on the power brick turn on when plugged in?

Internet connection seems to drop offline intermittently

That seems fine, a better test would be a constant ping to google.com to see if you're dropping packets. "ping google.com -t", control+c to quit, but i'd leave it up for an hour or so, see if you notice packet drops when your Inet connection acts up. I've also see this before with bad/slow...

NOOB ALERT: having trouble streaming films

I've had good luck using Serviio as a DLNA server to stream to all my devices. I have used VLC in the past with success as well. Slowness could be a lot of different factors. If you are streaming 1080p movies, it is likely a network bottleneck (assuming you're using 802.11g) or possibly...

"Local Area Connection" does not have a valid IP configuration

Try disabling your wireless, you're not pulling a DHCP address from your network, probably because you already have a default gateway set up via wireless. Windows does not like it when there is more than one default gateway :p

Windows 7 install on new build with RAID 0 driver issues

Windows can't find the RAID driver to use with your particular mobo, you need to download one from the ASUS site and throw it on USB or another CD. http://www.asus.com/Motherboard/M5A97_LE_R20/#support_Download_30

    Drivers on start up

You should be fine as long as you're not disabling anything required to run the standard OS. Peripheral drivers are generally ok to disable if you don't need them or have them attached.

Thermal paste already on cpu fan??

If there is a grey/white pasty looking substance on the surface that you set on the cpu, then yes it is already applied. Most stock fans already have it on there, so that would be fair to assume. You do not need to apply more, just attach as-is :)

Is the Asus HD 7850 as good as any other 7850?

Assuming it is a reference model, most will be the same. The higher end models have differences in clock rates and cooling that may make one better than another. Asus can be a bit higher in price to an identical model card from another manufacturer, but they are pretty good as far as quality...

    Problem with graphics card

All-in-one systems are generally like laptops in the fact that they are not really able to be upgraded outside of a few generic components. In this case the drivers provided by Philips are probably the limiting factor here. Even if you were able to physically swap out the card (sometimes not...

    Help choosing a new motherboard

Assuming you are using the same proc and want to stick with gigabyte, this mobo takes advantage of the z68 chipset and seems well reviewed for a decent price. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128498

    New MO keeping 2TB HDD

You should be fine just booting off the windows CD and deleting all the current partitions and installing from scratch. You could probably make it work without doing a reinstall, but that is generally a pain in the ass and causes you more problems than it is worth. Switching drivers for...
