    Question Data Recovery Question

No. I didn't see no reason to try that. I unscrewed the PCB. At the spot where it gets hot, there's a chip that has visible burn marks. I'll try ordering a PCB. The BIOS Chip is located very close to the plastic of the Sata connector. Any idea how I should avoid the melting of plastic? Kapton Tape?

Win 7 installed 197 Updates and ALL failed. WTF!!?

This error could be because of defective RAM. Try putting in a new one. Sometimes I had errors like this, when the computer went into standby while installing 200+ updates after reinstalling Windows 7. I always disable standby in energy options when installing a lot of updates after installing...

Windows 8.1 install over USB3 port

I have a Toshiba Satellite U940-100 Laptop. It doesn't have an optical drive. It has one USB2 port on the left side and two USB3 ports on the right side. Unfortunately the one USB2 port is not working. I need to reinstall Windows 8.1 because of a HDD failure. I can't get the recovery partition...
